(real name: Clifford J. Harris Jr.) was to report at noon, but the deadline passed as guards outside blocked reporters and onlookers from coming near the facility on a rural state highway.br /br /It was not immediately clear if T.I.’s late arrival would affect his plea deal with prosecutors.br /br /Federal prison spokeswoman Linda Thomas said the Atlanta rapper would be known inside by guards as federal prison inmate No. 59458019.br /br /Traci Billingsley, another prison spokeswoman, said the prison had no special protections prepared for the rapper. The low-security prison has double-bunked cells and a large fenced exercise yard, where inmates in white jumpsuits could be seen Tuesday morning.br /br /”We treat all our offenders in the same manner,” Billingsley said.br /br /T.I., 28, was arrested after trying to buy unregistered machine guns and silencers from undercover federal agents in 2007. That came after the rapper’s best friend was killed following a party in Cincinnati in 2006. The rapper has said the bullets that killed his friend were meant for him.br /br /The self-proclaimed “King of the South,” T.I. had faced a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for each charge in his three-count indictment. However, he reached a plea deal with prosecutors after spending time on house arrest before his sentencing and speaking before community groups and high schools about the dangers of drugs, violence and guns.br /br /Fans gathered down the road from the prison Tuesday and screamed “we love you, T.I!” when the black van pulled at the prison. Afterward, they shouted at TV cameras that “T.I. is the greatest!”br /br /”We’re still riding with the king!” yelled Porshe Tiswell, 22, of Forrest City.br /br /Fan Eugene Smith, 24, of Forrest City defended T.I., saying the rapper feared for his life when he purchased the machine guns and silencers from federal agents.br /br /”Somebody set him up, they snitched on him, so it’s a whole different thing,” Smith said. “We got to live a life, you know what I’m saying. We’re out in the street life.”br /br /Upon his release, T.I. will be on probation for three years. He also must pay a $100,000 fine as part of his sentence.br /br /His sixth album, “Paper Trail,” has sold about 2 million copies and the rapper earned a Grammy for the song “Swagga Like Us” that he performed with Jay-Z. T.I. wrote the lyrics for the album while awaiting trial.br /br /He performed Sunday in Atlanta and told the crowd he’d “see y’all in 366 days.”br /br /br /MAP OF FORREST CITY ,ARKANSAS AND HOW TO GET THERE!!!br /br /a href=”http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=enamp;q=amp;ie=UTF8amp;split=0amp;gl=usamp;ei=GrodSor-NYWmM4DQqcMFamp;geocode=FR5FFgIdYLKW-g”maps/adiv class=”blogger-post-footer”img width=’1′ height=’1′ src=’https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/1717012254105942382-1267963071420327312?l=swagworld.blogspot.com’//div

No commentsLil Wayne and Label Suing DJ Drama Over Mixtapes

What surprises me is the fact that DJ Drama and his company are the main defendants named in the lawsuit. Especially after Drama was instrumental in helping Lil Wayne clear his name and gain some credibility back amongst the DJ community after his first act of disrespect towards mixtape DJs. There’s nothing confusing or vague about this lawsuit though. The court papers are clear. I bet Lil Wayne is going to be on Drama’s radio show soon saying ‘I didn’t mean to sue Drama. I meant to sue some other niggas’.”br /br /- DJ Chuck Tbr /br /“I think it’s fucking nuts suing DJs because DJs made Wayne hot! All they did was to do their job and the mixtapes were only for promotional use. DJs made Wayne hot on the streets! All that damn syrup is going to Wayne’s fucking head and that’s why he is doing Rock music.”br /br /- DJ Woogie (Shadyville, G-Unit)br /br /“This is a sad day for mixtape DJs. But we all knew this day was coming. I have been involved with mixtapes since they were actually ‘cassette tapes.’ I’ve dropped close to 200 mixes, and can personally speak on being charged after having my record store raided for mix CDs. The problem exists when we as DJs compete on the same level of that of major labels, meaning if we get bar codes and sound scan, it’s a problem. As long as we pop the trunk and sell hand to hand it’s good but as soon as a classic like DJ Drama’s Trap Or Die or Dedication sits on the shelf next to a project the label is taking losses on and out sells it, it’s a problem!”br /br /br /br /WHAT DO YOU THINK THE PEOPLE! The 19-year-old Ramp;B singer remains free on $50,000 bail.br /br /The felony complaint handed down in court Thursday morning identifies Brown’s alleged victim only as “Robyn F.” Rihanna ’s real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty.br /br /If convicted, the possible sentence ranges anywhere from probation to four years and eight months in state prison, said district attorney’s spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons.br /br /According to a detective’s affidavit, Brown and Rihanna got into a fight early Feb. 8 after the “Umbrella” singer checked her boyfriend’s cell phone and found a text message from another woman.br /br /Brown pulled his car over and tried to push Rihanna out, but she was still wearing her seatbelt, Los Angeles police Detective De Shon Andrews wrote. He said Brown pushed Rihanna ’s head against the window, punched her with his right hand, and then continued driving while hitting her, the affidavit states. He also bit his girlfriend on the ear, the affidavit states.br /br /The affidavit was filed as part of a search warrant request for the phone records of Brown, Rihanna and her assistant.br /br /Brown allegedly threatened to kill Rihanna after she pretended to leave a phone message with her assistant, telling her to have the police waiting at her house.br /br /Andrews described Brown’s blows as causing Rihanna ’s mouth to fill with blood. He also writes that Brown tried to choke Rihanna after she took the keys to his car away. Andrews wrote that Rihanna nearly lost consciousness but also tried to fight back while in the car, at one point trying to gouge at Brown’s eyes.br /br /Brown was arrested hours later and booked him on suspicion of making criminal threats. Police said at the time a woman identified Brown as her attacker during an early morning dispute in an upscale Los Angeles neighborhood.br /br /A phone message left for Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, was not immediately returned Thursday. Brown’s publicist Tony Knight said any statement would likely come from Geragos after today’s hearing.br /br /Rihanna ’s spokesperson had no comment on the charges filed against Brown.br /br /Brown issued a statement a week after the incident saying that he was “sorry and saddened” about the incident. Rihanna also later issued a statement, saying she wouldn’t comment on the alleged beating at the request of authorities. She thanked fans for their support.br /br /Brown’s arrest has seriously damaged the “Run It!” singer’s squeaky-clean image, and compelled sponsors to drop him or not renew his deals.br /br /The alleged attack also came hours before the couple were scheduled to appear and perform at the Grammy Awards. Both were no-shows for event.div class=”blogger-post-footer”img width=’1′ height=’1′ src=’https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/1717012254105942382-1802742866795036689?l=swagworld.blogspot.com’//div
